Jewellery Shops Sealed For Violation Of COVID-19 Norms In Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack: The enforcement team of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) with the help of police on Friday sealed jewellery shops in the city for alleged violation of COVID-19 guidelines.

The enforcement team also imposed penalty on several such shops for not ensuring the norms of social distancing in their showrooms. The jewellery shops in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar observed heavy footfall on the occasion of Dhanteras.

Earlier, the state government authorities had issued a notice about the expected rush of customers for the festival on the day and cautioned about following the restrictions to prevent spread of the disease.
