Jewellery Worth Rs 30 Lakh Looted In 2nd Incident In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: In a second incident in a few days, a jeweller was looted ornaments worth Rs 30 lakh in the district on Thursday night.

According to police sources, Janmajaya Sahu of Anandpur in adjacent Keonjhar district was on his way to Bhadrak from Balasore at night. He was carrying a bag containing the jewellery.

As he reached Bidu petrol pump under Soro police station, six people came on two black Pulsar bikes and intercepted him. They attacked Sahu and took away the bag.

After Sahu filed a complaint regarding the incident, Soro police registered a case and admitted him in the local hospital.

In almost similar incident a few days back at Baghaampuda Chhak along Mangalpur road, another jeweller was looted jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh. No arrest has been made in this connection so far.
