Jharsuguda: SpiceJet, the country’s second-largest airline, launched its direct flight between Jharsuguda and Patna on Saturday fulfilling the long-standing demands of the people of the western Odisha town.
Veer Surendra Sai Airport Kishore Kumar Senapati informed that the flight will leave the Patna airport at 3.05 pm and arrive in Jharsuguda at 4.20 pm. The flight will leave the VSS Airport at 4.40 pm and reach Patna airport at 5.55 pm.
It may be recalled that SpiceJet had launched flight services from Jharsuguda to Mumbai and Bengaluru on January 12 and between Jharsuguda and Chennai from March 28 this year.
Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2018, the VSS Airport has emerged as one of the busiest airports under the Centre’s flagship UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) scheme.
