Mumbai: It seems Divya Khosla is quite upset with the makers of ‘Jigra’ for making the movie on a similar storyline as that of her recent film ‘Savi’.
Actress-producer Divya first took a dig at Alia Bhatt for the poor opening of her latest movie ‘Jigra’, before slamming Karan Johar for ‘stealing’ the storyline of ‘Savi’.
Following Divya’s Instagram story targeting Alia, Karan on Sunday shared a cryptic post which read, “Silence is the best speech you will ever give to fools.”
Divya responded by calling Karan a plagiarist and not having the courage to accept the truth.
“When you are shamelessly accustomed to stealing what rightfully belongs to others, you will always seek shelter in silence. You will have no voice no spine,” wrote Divya.
A day ago, Divya shared a photo of an empty theatre, and mocked at Alia, stating that the ‘Jigra’ actress herself bought all tickets for faking collections.
“Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty all theaters going empty everywhere. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai.. Khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent. #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies #HappyDussehra (sic),” Divya wrote.
Pointing out the similarity between ‘Savi’ and ‘Jigra’, Divya said in an interview that she was the first to make a movie of that genre.
Divya’s ‘Savi’ revolves around a housewife who goes all out to get her husband out of a foreign prison, whereas Alia’s ‘Jigra’ is about a sister who turns heaven and earth to get her brother out of an overseas jail.
