Bhubaneswar: JioFiber on Monday announced a new unlimited internet for 30 days as a trial to all new customers with a new 30 Mbps plan starting at ₹399 a month. The company will also refund the service, minus the one-time fee, if one wishes to disconnect after a month.
JioFiber claims that its download and upload speeds are symmetric as well.
The 30-day free trial will have a speed of 150 Mbps with unlimited data, 4K Set Top Box with subscription to 10 OTT apps including Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ Hotstar for all new users. It will also have free voice calling throughout India.
Commenting on this development, Akash Ambani, Director, Jio, said “JioFiber is already the largest Fiber provider in the country with over a million connected homes, but our vision for India and Indians is much larger. We want to take Fiber to each and every home and empower every member of the family. After making India the largest and the fastest growing country in mobile connectivity with Jio, JioFiber will propel India into global broadband leadership, thereby providing broadband to over 1,600 cities and towns. I urge everyone to Join the JioFiber movement to make India the broadband leader of the world.”
The service also comes with JioMeet, the Zoom-alternative for video calling.
New customers whose plans are going to be activated from September 1 will get the benefit. Customers onboarded between August 15 and August 31 will also get the trial benefit as a voucher in MyJio.
