Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited, high-speed broadband service from Jio is being rolled out in trial phases across Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Rourkela.
The service is currently being given to interested users for a refundable deposit of Rs 4,500 with zero monthly charges for unlimited data. The areas currently covered are Cuttack’s CDA, Bhubaneswar’s Patia, Maitri Vihar, parts of Jaydev Vihar, IRC Village and parts of Rourkela, sources told odishabytes.com.
Jio has been giving a free 90-day trial with 100GB data per month. The trial is reportedly being extended to all trial users currently.
Jio Fiber or JioGigaFiber services are to be launched this year and will have TV (set top box/IPTV) and telephone services, besides high-speed Internet.
