Bhubaneswar: Odisha-born producer and promoter Jitendra Mishra’s movie ‘The Last Colour’ received two international awards in America.
Jitendra produced the feature film in collaboration with celebrity chef Vikas Khanna. It was exhibited at the India International Film Festival, Boston.
The film received the best feature film award and the best actress award.
The first look of the film was released during the official opening event of Cannes Producers Network at the 71st Cannes Film Festival.
The film has been jointly produced by Jitendra Mishra, Vikas Khanna’s mother Bindu Khanna and Poonam Kaul.
The 90-minute film stars veteran actor Neena Gupta. The film is about relationships, girl child empowerment and victory of the human spirit.
Jitendra had earlier collaborated with Vikas Khanna in ‘Buried Seeds’, which traces the journey of Khanna and was screened at the prestigious 74th Venice Film Festival in 2017.
He has also designed and served as the festival director of SIFFCY (Smile International Film Festival For Children and Youth). He has been on the Board of Directors of media network for children and youth films – CIFEJ and a member of Cannes Producers Network as well.
He has been associated with production, distribution and promotion of more than 110 films in all categories. Many of them have got worldwide acclamation and recognition.
