Bhubaneswar: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will reopen for PhD scholars from Monday. This is the fourth phase of reopening of the campus which was closed for over seven months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The JNU, as well as other higher education institutes which have opened or are planning to open shortly, will have to follow the detailed standard operating procedures (SOP) issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for universities and colleges last month.

For the reopening of any campus, the Centre or state government must have declared the area as safe and fit for educational institutions. The directions, instructions, guidelines and orders issued by the Central and concerned state government regarding safety and health in view of COVID-19 must be fully abided by the institutions.
