Job Aspirants Protest At Odisha Minister’s Residence Alleging Irregularities In RI, Amin Recruitment Exam

Bhubaneswar: A large number of aspirants reportedly gheraoed the residence of Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj on Thursday alleging irregularities in the examination conducted by Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) for recruitment of various posts.

As per sources, the aspirants protested the way the exam was being conducted and alleged that there are irregularities in the recruitment of district cadre posts of Revenue Inspector (RIs), ICDS supervisors, ARI, Amin and SFS conducted by OSSSC.

They said the preliminary written examination for the recruitment began on September 20 and will continue till October 20. OSSSC is conducting the recruitment drive to fill up a total of 2895 vacant posts.

It may be noted that tension prevailed in Nayapalli area of Bhubaneswar after aspirants created a ruckus over the conduct of the examination at a cyber café.

Senior officials of OSSSC or state government were not immediately available for comment on the issue.
