Jaipur: Jos Buttler scored an unbeaten knock of 95 runs from 60 balls as Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings by four wickets in the IPL here on Friday. With the win, the Rajasthan Royals have kept their play-off chances alive, with five wins from 11 matches.
Batting first, Suresh Raina (52 off 35 balls), skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s unbeaten 33 and opener Shane Watson’s 39 runs helped Chennai put 176 runs on the board at the loss of four wickets.
Needing 28 off the final two overs, Krishnappa Gowtham gathered 13 runs in four balls after hitting two sixes, and was caught behind in the last ball on the 18th over.
With 12 needed from the last over, Buttler scored couple of doubles amd slammed a six to make it two runs from as many balls.
He chased down the target in 19.5 overs.
