Bhubaneswar: This is one honour that Twin City Traffic DCP Sagarika Nath will cherish all her life. A local journalist, Himansu Sekhar Dass Pattnaik, has named his newborn baby girl ‘Sagarika’ after the police officer.
Two months back, Pattnaik needed a pass to take his pregnant wife to the doctor. The DCP was forthcoming with help and arranged a pass for Pattnaik.
His wife delivered a baby girl on May 20, whom the couple named ‘Sagarika’ as a gesture of gratitude towards the police officer. Pattnaik tweeted:
“Glad we could be of help. Hope both the mother and baby are fine. My prayers are with them,” replied Sagarika in her Tweet.
Hope Sagrika makes you proud, she added.
