Journalists Protest Haryana Police Team’s Assault Attempt In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: The local people and journalists on Sunday protested the attempt of a team of Haryan Police to assault them at Khantapada police station of the district.

According to sources, the three-member team of Haryana Police with the help of local police raided the house of an accused in a criminal case in their state at Sathi village under Khantapada police station on Saturday night. While the team did not find the accused in the house, they picked up his mother.

When some journalists along with the locals went to the police station to enquire about the incident, three personnel of Haryana Police allegedly misbehaved with them. A member of the Haryana Police team also brought out his service revolver and threatened the scribes.

Following the incident, the journalists staged a protest in front of the police station demanding action against the Haryana Police personnel.
