Bhubaneswar/Bhadrak: The Odisha Vigilance on Thursday launched simultaneous searches at four properties connected to Bijay Kumar Mohanty, a Junior Engineer (JE) with the CAD Division in Bhadrak, on allegations of possessing assets beyond his known sources of income.
Acting on the complaint, teams led by four DSPs, four inspectors, and supporting staf
f carried out the raids under search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Balasore. The searches are underway at the following locations:
>> Mohanty’s triple-storey residential building at Samaraipur in Bhadrak town.
>> His double-storey house in his native village of Narasingdiha, Basta, in Balasore district.
>> His office premises in Bhadrak.
>> A relative’s house at Malipada in Bhubaneswar.
As per the latest update, the searches are still in progress, and further details are expected once the operations conclude and inventories of any seized documents or assets are prepared.
This development comes as part of the Vigilance Department’s ongoing drive against corruption and disproportionate assets among government officials.
