Barbil: The Kaizen team, Tech Army of Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL)- Barbil, has won Gold Award (Highest Category) at the International Convention on QC Circles-2019 (ICQCC) recently held in Tokyo, Japan.
The four-member team had presented a case study on ‘Low Cost Automation’ in mixer area of pellet plant to address the production loss due to feed delay.
“The team had really worked hard on the concept. I strongly believe this award will motivate other teams of JSPL to come up with new ideas in future,” JSPL Barbil Unit Head Suresha G said.
Organised by Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE), the convention saw over 2000 participation from 20 countries, including Japan, UK, USA, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Mexico, Mauritius and Korea.
The theme of the convention was – Creating a brighter future through TQM and QC Circle activities.
