Bubaneswar: TRB Iron Ore Mines of Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) has bagged the prestigious Bala Gulshan Tandon FIMI Excellence Award for its efforts to ensure ecological balance through sustainable mining in the Tensa valley area of Odisha’s Sundargarh district.
“For sustainable mining, we always believe in innovation and implementation of technologies adhering to utmost safety standards. This will not only increase our efficiency but also put zero harm on environment,” VP (Mines) Pramod Kumar Patra said after receiving the award from Anil Kumar Jain, Secretary, Union Ministry of Mines and Coal.
“JSPL is committed to the highest standards of operation across all its units. Every award and recognition makes us more socially responsible and technically innovative for an Atma Nirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India),” said JSPL Managing Director VR Sharma.
In January, TRB Iron Ore Mines had been awarded the TPM Excellence Award by Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM), Tokyo, for the second time.
