New Delhi: JSW Steel has won the second iron block in Odisha. It emerged as the highest bidder for Narayanposhi iron block with 190 MT reserve on Sunday.
Arcelormittal Mittal India Pvt Ltd, Vedanta, Tata Steel and JSPL were also in the fray.
With this, JSW Steel has bagged two iron ore mines with a total reserves of 980 million tonnes in the auction in Odisha.
On Friday, the Mumbai-based steel company had bagged Nuagaon mine, the largest iron ore block with an estimated reserve of around 790 million tonne.
These mines, which are operational, will provide the company around 22 mtpa of captive iron ore for its plants. The leases of these mines will expire in March.
