JSW Steel’s Odisha Mining Division Conducts Cleanliness Drive In Kasira Village

JSW Steel Odisha cleanliness drive

Barbil (Odisha): JSW Steel’s Odisha Mining Division initiated a large-scale cleanliness drive in the peripheral village of Kasira.

A team of 100 employees from the Narayanposhi Iron & Manganese Mines gave their time and put in an effort to restore hygiene and improve the surroundings across Kasira village.

As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) and commitment to national Swachh Bharat Mission, the team from JSW Steel’s ded

icated team cleared 1 kilometre of roadway in Kasira village, a stretch heavily relied upon by daily commuters and schoolchildren.

The vital arterial path, connecting the National Highway junction directly to Kasira Sevashram School, alongside the main village approach road, was obstructed by accumulated waste and overgrowth.

The team removed debris, cut back overgrowth and swept the entire stretch to fully restore the pathway, ensuring safer and cleaner access for the community.

JSW Steel worked hand-in-hand with local representatives, demonstrating a model partnership between corporate entities and rural communities.

Local village leaders appreciated the JSW Steel team’s efforts in transforming the road’s condition and thereby instilling a sense of civic pride and heightened hygiene awareness among residents.

The corporate volunteers and villagers pledged to preserve the cleanliness of the restored stretch.

JSW Steel officials assured the community of continued support for Kasira and other peripheral villages through similarly impactful socio‑welfare initiatives.
