Angul: An old woman was trampled by a wild elephant inside Chhendipada Forest Range in Odisha’s Angul district early on Tuesday.
Sources said the woman had gone inside the forest to collect firewood when she was suddenly attacked by the wild elephant. Residents rushed to the spot and later staged a road blockade demanding compensation for the next of kin of the dead woman.
