Bhubaneswar: Former judge of the Orissa High Court, Justice Raghubir Das was on Sunday appointed as a member of the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) by the Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal.
A notification to this effect was issued from the Governor’s house here.
Notably, the state government had appointed Justice Das as chairman of the commission of inquiry to probe into the missing keys of Ratna Bhandara of Shree Jagannath Temple on June 6 this year.
The Commission was asked to submit its report to the state government within three months. The probe will focus on the circumstances in which the Ratna Bhandara keys had gone missing.
The state government on September 7 had extended the tenure of the Commission to another three months since its inquiry into the missing Ratna Bhandar keys is yet to be completed.
