Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra Transferred; Two More Judges Moved To Orissa HC

Cuttack: Justice Jaswant Singh of Punjab and Haryana High Court and Calcutta High Court’s Justice Arindam Sinha have been transferred to the Orissa High Court here.

Similarly, Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra of Orissa HC has been moved to Uttarakhand High Court.

With this, the Orissa HC will now have 13 Judges.

These transfers are part of a major shakeup notified by the Law Ministry on Tuesday. A total of 15 judges across 11 High Courts, recommended by the Supreme Court collegium around a fortnight back, have been transferred and directed to assume office.

This is being considered as one of the biggest reshuffles in recent times.

>> Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava of Chhattisgarh HC has been shifted to Rajasthan HC

>> Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah of the Patna HC has been transferred to Andhra Pradesh HC

>> Justice Ujjal Bhuyan of the Bombay HC has been sent to Telangana HC

>> Justice AM Badar of Kerala HC transferred to Patna High Court

>> Gujarat High Court’s Justice Paresh R Upadhyay shifted to Madras HC

>> Justice M S S Ramachandra Rao of Telangana HC moved to Punjab and Haryana High Court.

>> Justices Yashwant Varma, Vivek Agarwal Chandra Dhari Singh and Ravi Nath Tilhari of the Allahabad High Court have been transferred to Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Andhra Pradesh HCs respectively.

>> Justice Anoop Chitkara of Himachal Pradesh HC has been sent to the Punjab and Haryana HC.
