Kanpur: In a horrifying juvenile crime, a 10-year-old kid allegedly sexually assaulted a 7-year-old girl recently in Kanpur.
Station house officer (SHO) Pankaj Mishra said that the minor has been detained and admitted to the crime, which he committed after seeing pornogFilmraphic films.
“We have lodged an FIR in which the boy has been charged with rape and POCSO Act,” he said.
The boy was produced before the district juvenile board and taken to a juvenile home.
According to the girl’s father, the third-grade student was alone at home when the incident took place. She was crying and extremely scared when her parents returned home.
The family then notified police about the incident.
“The minor boy told police officials that he watched porn on a mobile phone that belongs to one of his relatives after which he committed the crime,” Mishra said.
