Bhubaneswar: Following the resignation of Ashok Kumar Parija as Advocate General (AG) of Odisha, government advocate Jyoti Prakash Pattnaik has been appointed as in-charge AG.
“Jyoti Prakash Pattnaik, government advocate, is hereby allowed to remain in charge of the Advocate General to manage the day-to-day work in addition to his own duties,” said a notification of the Law department, issued on Wednesday. Pattnaik will hold the office of the Advocate General in addition to his original responsibility.
The BJD government had appointed Parija as the AG in 2019. He resigned from the post after the BJD failed to win the Assembly elections 2024.
