Kabir Becomes First Odia To Reach ITF Final

Dehradun: Kabir Hans created history by becoming the first player from Odisha to enter the final of International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior (Under-18) category.

Kabir defeated Thailand’s Micheal Mathayomchand 6-4, 6-4 in Uttarakhand Open.

He will now face top-seeded Naithaolin Calvin Golmei in the summit clash on March 24.

Kabir had won three matches in the qualifying draw and four in the main draw, before making it to the final round.
