‘Kala Hiran’ Producer Amit Jani Claims He Received Death Threat From Pakistan-Based Terrorist

Mumbai: Producer Amit Jani claimed that he received a threatening call from alleged terrorist Shahzad Bhatti and has brought the

matter to the attention of authorities by writing to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Rajasthan DGP U.R. Sahoo.

According to the producer, the alleged threat was linked to his upcoming film ‘Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy’, which reportedly draws inspiration from the controversial blackbuck poaching case involving Salman Khan.

According to Jani, Bhatti allegedly contacted him via calls and messages from a Pakistan-based number and warned him with severe consequences if he continued to work on the film.

The film has been embroiled in controversy since the release of its teaser, with Salman approaching the Delhi High Court seeking a stay on the project, alleging that it infringes upon his personality rights.

The case is scheduled for hearing on June 19.
