Bhubaneswar: After Maa Durga and Maa Laxmi, it’s time to worship Maa Mahakali. The final preparations have been completed for Kali Puja at different places in Odisha capital.
The Ramakrishna Math and Mission is organising Kali Puja in the city since the last 99 years. The Math was founded at Vivekananda Marg here in 1919. Since then the puja is being organised there.
The rituals and a special puja was organised at the Math from 8 pm on Saturday till the next morning.
All the preparations have been done at Satyakali Temple in Satya Nagar area here. In the temple, people can get darshan of Maa Kali in 10 different Beshas.
The Maa will be adorned with Mahakali, Tara, Shodhasi, Bhubaneswari, Bhairabi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumabati, Bagala, Matangi, and Kamala Beshas.
Besides, a 10-day-long cultural programme and Meena Bazaar is being organised on the occasion.
Mahakali Puja will also be held at Dakhinakali Peetha at Baramunda in Bhubaneswar. Shyamakali Puja, Bhajan Samaroha and dance performance will be held on Sunday. This is the 40th Puja, which s underway at Baramunda. A Biswasanti Mahajangya will be held for five-day.
People can get darshan of Maa Kali at Saheed Nagar with a Chandi Medha (silver backdrop). Cultural function and Meena Bazaar will also be held at Saheed Nagar.
