Mumbai: Self-proclaimed controversial critic Kamaal R Khan has landed in legal trouble for his derogatory tweets about late Bollywood actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.

According to reports, following a complaint by Yuva Sena’s core committee member Rahul Kanal, an FIR was filed against Kamaal R Khan in suburban Bandra, Mumbai on Wednesday.

A senior police officer said, “We have registered an FIR against Kamaal R Khan for making derogatory remarks about both the deceased actors under Section 294 (punishment for obscene acts or words in public) and other provisions of the IPC.”

Just before Rishi’s demise, KRK had tweeted that the actor must not die as liquor shops were going to open soon.

He had also taken pot-shots at Irrfan Khan after the actor’s death on April 29.

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor succumbed to leukaemia on April 30, a day after Irrfan Khan’s death on April 29.
