Mumbai: Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has always called out star kids for being more privileged than outsiders.
So it comes as a surprise when she has something good to say about Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aaryan Khan.
After Shah Rukh and OTT giant Netflix announced Aaryan’s directorial debut, Kangana took to her social media handle to shower praises on the star kid for opting to be behind the camera as a director unlike the other star kids, who prefer to become actors.
“It’s great that children from film families are going beyond just wanting to wear makeup, lose weight, doll up, and think they are actors. We should collectively uplift the standards of Indian cinema; that is the need of the hour. Those who have resources often end up taking the easiest roads,” wrote Kangana.
“We need more people behind the cameras. It’s good that Aryan Khan is taking the road less travelled. I look forward to his debut as a writer and filmmaker,” she added.
On November 19, SRK and Netflix announced an untitled project which will be helmed by Aryan Khan.
Several celebrities, including Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, and Ananya Panday showered their love and best wishes for the debutant director.
Karan wrote, “Love you, Aryan!!!! I am so so so so proud of you and can’t wait for the world to see your incredible series.!!!! It’s going to ROCK and RULE!!!”
Aryan’s sister Suhana Khan posted, “Lots of laughs, drama, action and a little bit of trouble-just like it always is with you (face savouring food emoji).@__aryan__ I cannot wait! So proud (face holding back tears and heart hands emojis).”
Alia Bhatt wrote, “Can’t wait!!!! (red heart emojis).”
Ananya Panday wrote, “Oh, you are not ready for this. Excited for you @__aryan__.”
Shanaya Kapoor shared, “@__aryan__ You (star emoji)! So proud!!! Cannot wait for this!!!!”
