Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut has seemingly taken a dig at Abhijeet Dipke’s English-speaking skills after sharing a video comparing his English with her own.
Kangana reposted the reel on her Instagram Stories, which featured clips of both her and Dipke speaking in English.
The video opened with Dipke addressing the audience in English before switching to a clip of Kangana discussing her experiences as a woman in the Hindi film industry.
Dipke had also spoken about the issue shortly before Kangana shared the video.
During an Instagram Q&A on Sunday, a follower asked him why he appeared hesitant while speaking English.
In response, the CJP founder said that he tends to become conscious when speaking in front of the camera.
On Monday, Dipke wrote to education ministers across the country, seeking data on government school infrastructure, funding and vacant teaching positions.
Kangana has previously opened up about her difficulties with English when she started her Bollywood career.
She also alleged that Sonam Kapoor had made fun of her English during an appearance on Koffee With Karan.
Recalling that phase of her life, Kangana wrote, “What I learned from years of fights with film mafia is that no outsider will ever be mocked for not speaking English…also that show is officially closed forever.”
Reflecting on how she responded to the criticism at the time, she added, “Please don’t miss my comeback in the end. Even at 24 after being openly bullied, humiliated and mocked I showed grace sophistication articulation and humility which English speaking gossipy aunties with so called great upbringing can never…”
