Kapil Sharma Show: Will Archana Puran Singh Quit If Sidhu Wants To Return?

No one knows about Navjyot Singh Sidhu’s next move. The former India cricketer-turned politician stunned many by resigning as Punjab Pradesh Congress chief on Tuesday.

Once a regular fixture on The Kapil Sharma Show (TKSS), netizens are wondering whether Sidhu will return to the popular comedy show as a judge. How will actress Archana Puran Singh, who replaced Sidhu when the latter left the show to concentrate on politics, react in that case?

Even Kapil Sharma has been teasing her on the possible return of Sidhu. Archana, however, took it sportingly and even shared some memes on her and Sidhu which have been doing the rounds.

On Wednesday, Archana made her stand clear by stating that she’s ready to vacate her seat on TKSS if Sidhu wants to re-enter the show.

“If Sidhu would seriously re-enter the show in my place, I will have many other things to do, which I have refused in the past few months,” Archana said in an interview.

“Since I am shooting for two days in a week for the show, I can’t take up any assignment, which is out of Mumbai or India. In the past few months, I got several opportunities to shoot in London and other foreign countries but I had to say a no because of my commitment to the show,” Archana explained.

TKSS members, led by Kapil himself, have often joked about Sidhu’s posing a threat to Archana’s position on the show.

“Kapil’s show writers come up with all kinds of jokes and I can’t help but laugh at them because they are funny. It is a task to come up with gags everyday and keep the show running for the last 10 years. But all those who feel I don’t have anything to do in the show should come on the sets to see how it is not easy to sit 6-7 hours in a particular position, facing the stage. I have to constantly sit in an angle for hours on that sofa and face the stage, listen to every joke that’s cracked and then react to it,” she said.

Archana revealed in a recent episode that she had received congratulatory messages after Sidhu was nominated Punjab Congress chief.

“Mujhe kitne phoolon ke bouquets aaye hai (I got so many flower bouquets),” she had said.
