Surrey (Canada): Shots were reportedly fired close to Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Surrey, British Columbia, in Canada.
This is the fourth occasion when an attempt has been made to intimidate the popular actor, comedian and television show host by suspected members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The shots were fired at an eatery close to Sharma’s Kap’s Cafe, a social media post claimed. The post was allegedly shared from a Facebook account named Tyson Bishnoi Jora Sidhu, as reported by News18.
The post claims that both Sharma and the owner of the cafe, where the shots were fired, have received death threats. The gang warned Sharma to “fall in line,” it further claims, alleging that he is wasting their time.
Sharma’s cafs could face similar consequences if he does not comply, the post adds.
The firing incident is said to have taken place near a “Chai Sutta Bar” outlet, which is reportedly located close to Kapil Sharma’s cafe.
These claims are based on social media posts and News18 couldn’t independently confirm their authenticity.
Sharma’s cafe has been targeted since 2025. The first firing incident took place on July 10, 2025, just days after Kap’s Cafe opened in Surrey. Shots were then fired at the property and nearby buildings without causing injuries.
A second attack followed on August 7, 2025, with multiple rounds fired at the same location. The situation escalated further in mid-October 2025 (around October 15-16), when the cafe was targeted for a third time in four months, and individuals linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi network reportedly claimed responsibility via social media.
“What I feel is that the rules there and the police perhaps don’t have power to control (such incident),” Sharma had said at the trailer launch event of his film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2.
The café was allegedly targeted after Kapil Sharma invited Salman Khan to the launch of The Great Indian Kapil Show, a move said to have angered members of the Lawrence Bishnoi network. A gang associate reportedly warned that “those working with Salman Khan” would face consequences.
The Bishnoi gang has had a long-standing feud with Salman Khan, stemming from the 1998 blackbuck case and has issued repeated threats not only to him but also to those associated with him.
