Mumbai: Bollywood’s star couple Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have joined the list of celebrity team owners in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL).
Sharing the news on social media, Kareena revealed that she and Saif are thrilled to be owners of Team Kolkata.
“Cricket, a tradition we cherish, a love we share… it runs in the family after all! So thrilled to announce our ownership of Team Kolkata in the Indian Street Premier League! It’s a fantastic opportunity for young aspiring cricketers out there and we couldn’t be happier to be part of this experience! Play to win with Team Kolkata!” Kareena wrote alongside a video.
Kolkata is the sixth and final team of the league. Before Kareena and Saif, other celebrities who acquired ISPL teams are Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Suriya and Ram Charan.
The unique tennis ball T10 cricket meet will feature six teams battling it out in 19 matches from March 2 to 9 in Mumbai.
