Mumbai: Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband and industrialist, Sunjay Kapur, died of a heart attack in England on June 12. He was 53.
According to reports, he felt suffocated while playing polo in England on June 12, thereafter suffered a heart attack and died. Reports also claim that Sunjay inadvertently swallowed a bee during the game and the sting in his throat caused a heart attack.
Upon learning about Sunjay’s demise, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan hurried to Karisma’s home last night. Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora, and their family also visited to express their condolences.
Suhel Seth shared a condolence message on X. “Deeply saddened at the passing of @sunjaykapur : he passed away earlier today in England: a terrible loss and deepest condolences to his family and to his colleagues @sonacomstar …Om Shanti,” he wrote.
Incidentally, Sunjay had expressed grief at the death of Air India passengers in the tragic crash at Ahmedabad on Thursday afternoon, in his last social media post.
