Bengaluru: Karnataka BJP legislator Venkatareddy Mudnal was admitted to a private hospital here after he tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday evening.
“Mudnal has given his swab sample for testing at Yadgir on Saturday. His result came out positive on Sunday,” a party official said. Mudnal is the MLA from Yadgir.
Since he participated in the 74th Independence Day celebrations at Yadgir on Saturday, all his close contacts have been advised COVID test and self-isolation.
