Mumbai: Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has received an invitation from President Droupadi Murmu to attend the prestigious ‘At Home Reception’ at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on August 15.
The actor is reportedly the only Bollywood star among the distinguished guests invited to the high-profile Independence Day gathering hosted by the President.
The invitation comes shortly after Kartik was honoured with the ‘Best Actor’ award at the 72nd National Film Awards for his performance in Kabir Khan’s acclaimed sports drama ‘Chandu Champion’.
In July, the actor celebrated the achievement by sharing a special family moment on social media following the announcement of his National Award win.
Kartik took to his official Instagram handle and shared a video of himself watching the live announcement of the National Film Awards with his family.
As his name was announced as the Best Actor winner for ‘Chandu Champion’, the actor erupted in joy.
The video also captured his parents celebrating the achievement with him as they hugged and congratulated their son. Kartik’s mother sweetly kissed him on the cheek as the family shared the proud moment together.
Sharing the video, Kartik expressed his emotions in the caption, writing, “Still processing… Some moments are simply bigger than words, and this is one of them. A dream I’ve carried for years has finally come true. Forever humbled, forever grateful…Best Actor National Award #ChanduChampion IN.”
For the unversed, the ‘At Home Reception’ is a prestigious gathering hosted by the President of India, bringing together prominent personalities from various fields, including national leaders, armed forces personnel, sportspersons, artists and distinguished achievers.
