Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Naagzilla’ Release Pushed To Valentine’s Weekend 2027

Mumbai: Kartik Aaryan’s comedy-adventure ‘Naagzilla’, which was earlier slated to release on August 4, 2026, has now been postponed and will hit theatres on February 12, 2027.

The makers announced the new release date on Wednesday while unveiling the film’s poster.

Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, best known for the ‘Fukrey’ series, the film promises a unique blend of comedy and adventure set in a world of shape-shifting snakes inspired by Indian folklore.

The project is backed by a team of producers including Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Neetu M Jain.

Kartik had first announced the film in April last year via Instagram, sharing a striking motion poster that featured him shirtless, overlooking a cityscape from within a lair filled with snakes.

The caption read as, “I’ve seen many human stories, now watch a story of naags. #Naagzilla – Naag lok ka Pehla Kaand… Fun phailaane Aa raha hu main, Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand… Naag Panchami par aapke nazdeeki SsSsinemas mein. 4 August 2026 ko”.

Meanwhile, Kartik has kept a low profile after his name surfaced in a controversy involving alleged chats with a minor on the photo-sharing app Snapchat.

Online claims suggested that the actor may have messaged a minor, but these allegations remain unverified and appear to stem largely from anonymous social media posts and speculation.

The actor was last seen in ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, which underperformed at the box office despite releasing during the Christmas period.

The romantic comedy opened to modest numbers and failed to maintain momentum, eventually being labelled a flop, especially when compared to his earlier success with ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, which performed strongly at the box office.
