Puri: The registration for booking rooms in Odisha’s Puri for ‘Kartika Brata’ began across the state on Tuesday.
According to sources, the registration by ‘Habisyalis’ started at collectors’ offices in all the districts and can be done in both offline and online mode before September 29.
Three Whatsapp numbers have been released on which the ‘Habisyalis’ can pose queries regarding the booking. They will have to fill up a form and submit it online or in their respective district collector’s office. They can also email authorities at Puri at touristofficepuri@gmail.com.
They can send the form to Tourist Officer, Tourism Office, Subhas Bose square, VIP Road, Puri, as well, along with photocopy copies of Voter I-Card or Aadhaar Card as identity and address proof, double-dose Covid vaccine certificate.
Notably, ‘Kartika Brata’ will begin on October 10 and the authorities have made preparations to host 3,000 Habisyalis this year. A multi-storey building for Habisyalis will be inaugurated at Narendra Kona by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Lifeguards will be deployed at the holy Narendra pond for the safety of Habisyalis. Special arrangements will be made for darshan of the deities at Srimandir and partaking Mahaprasad.
A preparatory meeting was also held under the chairmanship of Collector Samarth Verma at Puri circuit house on Monday, the sources added.
