Kashmiris Send Cash, Gold To War-Torn Iran, Tehran Expresses Gratitude



Srinagar: In a humanitarian gesture reflecting solidarity across borders, residents of several districts in Kashmir have contributed cash, gold, silver and other valuables to support people affected by the ongoing conflict in Iran.

The donation drive was organised mainly in districts, where volun

teers conducted campaigns after Eid-ul-Fitr to collect relief materials. People from all walks of life, including men, women and children, participated in the initiative.

According to reports, contributors donated not only money but also jewellery, copper utensils and even livestock.

The Iranian Embassy in India acknowledged the gesture and publicly expressed gratitude on social media, stating that the “kindness” and humanitarian support shown by the people of Kashmir would always be remembered.

The embassy said the donations symbolised heartfelt solidarity with Iran.

The collected funds and materials are expected to be sent through relief organisations to ensure proper distribution.
