Bhubaneswar: BJP National Vice President and Kendrapada MP Baijayant Panda has sought the help of the Indian Ambassador in Oman to bring back the body of a worker from Odisha who died in a roof collapse mishap in that country.
Panda has written a letter to the Indian envoy requesting him take necessary steps to send the body of the youth, identified as Bipin Bihari Swain of Kendrapada district.
It may be noted that Swain of Chakradharpur village under Rajnagar police station of Kendrapada, was working as a labourer in a private company in Oman.
The company authorities informed Bipin’s family that he was working on a project on December 8 when the roof of the building collapsed and he died. Bipin’s father sought Panda’s intervention to bring the body back to his village for the last rites. On his request, the BJP leader wrote a letter to the Indian Ambassador requesting him to make arrangements for bringing body back to India and to ensure payment of all dues.
