Kendrapada: After Niali and Jagatsinghpur, sheep deaths have been reported from Kendrapada districts.
Two sheep were found dead under mysterious circumstances at Prabhakarpur village under Mahakalapada block in the district late on Friday.
Expressing strong resentment over the matter, a villager said, “We are
living under the constant fear of the unidentified sheep killer. The villagers are feeling helpless as all the efforts by the forest officials to catch the wild animal have failed.”
Nine sheep were killed and three were injured after being attacked by
an unknown animal at Alipingal village in Jagatsinghpur district the
previous night. Locals blocked the Alipingal-Jagatsinghpur road, demanding compensation to the sheep owner.
