Bhubaneswar: Khandagiri area continued to report maximum cases of COVID-19 positive cases as total 148 persons tested positive for the virus in the Capital City in the last 24 hours.
As many as 16 positive cases were reported from Khandagiri out of total 171 new infected persons in the city on Saturday.
Of the daily cases, 116 were local contacts and the rest 32 were quarantine cases, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Among the local contacts, 15 cases were from Khandagiri, followed by 10 from Pokharipur, 6 each from IRC Village, Niladri Vihar, and Old Town and 5 each from Baramunda, Kalpana Chhak and Nayapalli.
Of the quarantine cases, 3 cases each were reported from BJB Nagar, Nayapalli, Old Town, Patia and Saheed Nagar.
While 54 patients have recovered from COVID-19 during the period, there are 977 active cases on the city at present. The total caseload has gone up to 33.512.
