Khariar BDO In Vigilance Net: 22 Plots Unearthed In Balangir

Nuapada: Vigilance sleuths on Saturday unearthed three plots and two lands during simultaneous raids at five places in Odisha in connection with disproportionate assets (DA) allegedly accumulated by Khariar Block Development Officer (BDO) Narayan Sahoo.

Details of Assets Unearthed:

1) Cash Rs 3.84 Lakh

2) One double-storey building at the backside of Vatika Hotel, Balangir

2) Land/Plots in and around Balangir

Details as under-

i) 1 plot measuring area Ac 0.096 dec, Plot No.83, Khata No.236 in Balangir town.

ii) A piece of land measuring about 2.3 Acres comprising 10 plots vide Plot No.2544, 2547, 2532, 2524, 2689, 2523, 2526, 2522, 2691, and 2702, Khata No.15 at Mauza-Kusmel in Balangir.

iii) A piece of land measuring about 6.5 Acres comprising 9 Plots vide Plot No.2543, 2545/3340, 2550, 2546, 2528, 2521, 2502, 2551, and 2520, Khata No.351/336 at Mauza-Kusmel in Balangir.

iv) 1 plot measuring area Ac 0.92 dec, Plot No.2541, 2552, and 2553, Khata No. 323 at Mauza-Kusmel in Balangir.

v) 1 plot measuring area Ac 0.19 dec, Plot No.2552, Khata No.323 at Mauza-Kusmel in Balangir.

The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above building/plots is being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.

4) Gold approx 400 Gms

5) A four-wheeler (Hyundai Creta)

6) 2 two-wheelers

7) Bank and insurance deposits are under verification.

Further investigation into the raid is underway.
