Bhubaneswar: Odisha swimmer Pratyasa Ray created ripples in the pool at the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) 2025 in Rajasthan.
The 23-year-old Pratyasa bagged as many as 5 medals, including 3 gold.
Representing Utkal University, Pratyasa topped the women’s 50m, 100m and 200m Backstroke events. She also won silver in 200m Freestyle and a bronze in 400m Freestyle.
Pratyasa was the most successful female athlete of the KIUG, held in northeastern states in March 2024, with a haul of 4 gold, a silver and bronze medals each.
Pratyasa was awarded the Ekalabya Puraskar last year.
