Khurda: The Railway employees returned missing purse of a passenger containing thousands of rupees in cash and valuable ornaments to its rightful owner travelling in New Delhi-Bhubaneswar special train on Saturday.
According to sources, the purse containing around Rs 22,000 and gold and silver jewellery was found by some employees of Khurda division of East Coast Railway on berth No. 48 of B-9 coach in New Delhi-Bhubaneswar AC Special express train after the train left Gaya station.
They alerted train superintendent Kaushik Saha about the bag immediately. Shah, on his part, contacted the passenger of the berth over phone and confirmed about the missing purse.
The Railway staff handed over the purse to the Railway Police Force (RPF) after the train reached at Gomoh railway station in Dhanbad. The RPF returned the bag to the woman after confirming her identity.
