Khurda Leads As COVID-19 Tally Goes Up To 146894 In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: With 3777 new COVID-19 positive cases reported in the state in the last 24 hours, the tally went up to 146894.

Of the new cases reported from all 30 districts, 2191 were detected in quarantine centres and 1586 were local contact cases, the I&PR department tweeted.

Khurda district led the tally with 815 cases followed by Cuttack (368), Puri (237), Sundargarh and Kendrapada (148 each), Bargarh (139), Jajpur (133), Balasore (127), Angul (115), Sambalpur (112), Nabarangpur (107), Jagatsinghpur (100), Koraput (98), Keonjhar (78), Rayagada (75), Nuapada (73), Sonepur (72), Nayagarh (71), Kalahandi and Jharsuguda (70 each), Bhadrak and Dhenkanal (67 each), Mayurbhanj and Ganjam (58 each), Balangir (51), Kandhamal (49), Boudh and Malkangiri (26 each), Deogarh (14) and Gajapati (13). Another 192 cases are from the state pool.

With 616 deaths and 112062 recoveries so far, Odisha now has 34163 active cases.
