Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha touched 45,927 on Sunday with 1,734 positive cases being reported in the last 24 hours.
Out of the new cases reported from 29 districts, 1075 are from quarantine centres while 659 are local contact cases.
Khurda and Nayagarh districts recorded the highest single-day spike of 342 and 106 cases respectively.
Khurda led the tally with 342 cases, followed by Ganjam (222), Cuttack (177), Sundargarh (126), Nayagarh (106), Gajapati (85), Balasore (73), Koraput (60), Kandhamal (59), Bhadrak (58), Puri (55), Malkangiri (52), Bargarh (51), Jajpur (38), Mayurbhanj (35), Dhenkanal (29), Keonjhar (27), Kalahandi (24), Nuapada (22), Rayagada (18), Sambalpur (14), 13 each in Sonepur and Nabarangpur, Jagatsinghpur (12), six each in Jharsuguda and Balangir, Deogarh (5), Angul (4),and Kendrapada (2).
With 272 deaths and 30,241 recoveries, Odisha now has 15,365 active cases.
