Kia Seltos Launched In India, Prices In Bhubaneswar Inside

South Korean automobile Kia Motors on Thursday launched its first vehicle in India – the Seltos SUV. The SUV starts at a price of Rs 9.69 lakh and goes up to Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The Kia Seltos is available in six different drive-train options.

The Seltos has an option of 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine, 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. All the engines are BS6-compliant.

The Seltos is loaded with features. It gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a segment-first 8-inch heads-up display, Bose Premium 8-speaker system with mood lighting, ventilated front seats, a smart air purifier system, sunroof, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera and blind-view monitor and more.

The Kia Seltos has connected car tech that has features such as remote lock, ignition, AC on/off, live tracking, geo fencing and more. Kia has an app for this, called UVO Connect, and uses an eSIM for the service. These features will be free for the first 3 years.

The GT Line gets red accents inside the cabin and a sportier 17-inch alloys.

The Seltos measures 4315mm in length, 1800mm in width and 1620mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2610mm. The boot space is 433 litres.

Safety wise, Kia has equipped the Seltos with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, disc brakes on all wheels and rear parking sensors as standard on all variants. The top spec gets 6 airbags. Auto headlamps, front parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat, hill assist, electronic stability program, vehicle stability management along with driving and terrain modes are available in the higher trims.

Kia is giving a 3-year/unlimited kilometres comprehensive warranty and roadside assistance as standard with the option to extend to 5 years.

The SUV has gathered over 32,000 bookings and will compete with Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Maruti S-Cross, Renault Captur and Duster.
