Kalahandi: A 5-year-old kid was killed in a lightning strike at Buringijhuli village under Lanjigarh police limits of Kalahandi on Thursday.
Sources said that Ranjan, son of Gourang Majhi, was playing at his home in Buringijhuli village when the lightning struck. His family members took him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead.
On being informed, the police rushed to the spot and registered a case of unnatural death.
