KIMS-Bhubaneswar Adjudged 5th Best Multi-Speciality Medical Facility In Eastern India

Bhubaneswar: Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bhubaneswar has been adjudged the 5th Best Multi-Speciality Medical Facility in eastern India by English magazine Outlook.

The Outlook Health Best Hospital Ranking 2022, presented by the Outlook magazine and NEB Research, has put the Orthopaedics department of KIMS in all-India 6th rank and Paediatrics department in 9th place. The Gastroenterology and Neurology departments have bagged 10th position and Cardiology 12th all-India rank.

Started in 2007 under the leadership of Dr Achyuta Samanta, founder, KIIT and KISS, as a constituent School of Medical Sciences under KIIT Deemed-to-be-University, KIMS has emerged as one of biggest healthcare service providers in eastern India.

KIMS has a workforce comprising 1,500 doctors, 950 nursing professionals and 900 paramedics to support the medical college and its constituent hospital. There are around 1,000 staff in non-medical and support areas like patient care, IT, finance, insurance claims, and others.

Expressing satisfaction over the rankings, Dr Samanta thanked the doctors and medical staff of KIMS for their hard work and dedication that led to the achievement.
