Barbil (Odisha): JSW Steel’s Odisha Mining Division set up a water kiosk at its Narayanposhi Mines for the welfare of the local community.
The kiosk will provide clean and safe drinking water to loca
l residents and mine workers, much to their comfort and relief during the sweltering summer months.
Prasanna Panda, Business Head of JSW Steel Odisha Mining Division, inaugurated the facility in the presence of company officials and employees.
The kiosk, meant to serve everyone passing by, will reduce the effort required to fetch water from distant sources amid the severe heatwave.
JSW Steel has outlined plans for regular maintenance and active community participation to ensure its long-term impact. The company also announced that similar kiosks will soon be established at other mining locations.
