Bhubaneswar: KISS boys and girls teams emerged champions in the All-Odisha Inter-Districts Sub-Junior Tag Rugby Championship held at Kalinga Stadium here on Wednesday.
Jagatsinghpur boys and Kandhamal girls finished runners-up.
A total of 11 boys and 9 girls teams participated in the day long meet.
OSD DSYS Sonali Chand gave away the prizes in the presence of Odisha Rugby Football Association president Priyadarshi Mishra, secretary U K Mohanty, treasurer Shakti Ranjan Mohanty and technical director Dhiren Kumar Rout.
Based on the performance in this meet, Odisha’s boys and girls probables list will be announced soon. A week-long camp will then be held before the National Sub-Junior Championship, which will be held in Gujarat on December 11 and 12, said the ORFA secretary.
